Leeds Town Hall Clock

On Saturday we went on a fascinating guided tour of Leeds Town Hall. A highlight of the tour was the climb up the clock tower - up 209 steps !!
Here is the clock close up.

Bradford at Wembley

I was lucky enough to be at Wembley to watch Bradford. Forget the result the Bradford fans were magnificent.

Hirst Weir

Less than a mile up river from Saltaire weir is another weir at Hirst Wood.
The sun was in the wrong place to take a good photograph. The building in view was converted in the 19th century to a paper mill, but is now a private residence.

Bradford Rowing Club

Bradford Amateur Rowing Club (BARC) is a British Rowing affiliated club in Saltaire, West Yorkshire. It was founded in 1867 and the Clubhouse was built in 1893 on land given to the Club by Sir Titus Salt.
The Club rows on a 600m stretch of the River Aire and the two storey Clubhouse built in 1893 still retains much of its Victorian character, with its unique upstairs bar and function room where access to the balcony provides magnificent views of the River Aire and a local conservation area.
